I’m Dana Bee — reader, cocktail shaker, and the woman behind Boozy Bee Books & Cocktails.
A few years ago, a friend asked me a simple question: “What do you like to do?” The answer came easily. I love books. I love making cocktails. And I really love talking about both.
At 60, with the support of my family, I decided to take a chance on me.
I started Boozy Bee on YouTube, talking about the books I was reading and creating cocktails inspired by the stories. I had no idea where it would lead. What began with me, a camera, a book, and a cocktail shaker has grown into something I never imagined — author conversations, live reader events, a growing community of book people, and so much more.
Books, though, have been part of my life much longer than Boozy Bee. I’ve spent a lifetime reading, and my personal library now stretches into the thousands across Kindle, Audible, and my bookshelves. I read across genres because the right book for you may be one you never expected to pick up. I’m not here to tell you what you should like. I’m here to help you decide what’s worth your reading time.
And somewhere along the way, I learned that books can do even more than give us a great story. They give us something to talk about, something to share, and sometimes a reason to gather around a table with people we might never have met otherwise.
That’s what Boozy Bee has become.
